Descendant direct du mod\u00e8le 1909, il constitue, durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le principal syst\u00e8me de suspension r\u00e9glementaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au cours du conflit, l\u2019ensemble des variantes de ces bretelles de suspension est d\u00e9sign\u00e9 sous une appellation unique : <em>Suspenders, Belt, M-1936<\/em>. Cette d\u00e9nomination g\u00e9n\u00e9rique ne distingue pas les \u00e9volutions de fabrication observ\u00e9es pendant la guerre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afin de diff\u00e9rencier ces variantes aujourd\u2019hui, trois mod\u00e8les standards sont conventionnellement identifi\u00e9s sous les appellations Type 1, Type 2 et Type 3. Les productions r\u00e9alis\u00e9es au Royaume-Uni sont, quant \u00e0 elles, regroup\u00e9es sous la d\u00e9signation <em>British Made<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les bretelles de fabrication am\u00e9ricaine pr\u00e9sentant des \u00e9l\u00e9ments alternatifs au standard r\u00e9glementaire sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement qualifi\u00e9es d\u2019\u00ab ersatz \u00bb, terme employ\u00e9 pour signaler l\u2019usage de composants de substitution ou de simplifications li\u00e9es aux contraintes de production en temps de guerre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les bretelles de suspension M-1936 remplissent une double fonction au sein de l\u2019\u00e9quipement individuel. Elles permettent, d\u2019une part, de r\u00e9partir et de soutenir le poids des effets fix\u00e9s au ceinturon et, d\u2019autre part, d\u2019assurer le port dorsal de la musette M-1936.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans cette configuration, les crochets de la musette viennent se fixer aux anneaux des bretelles, tandis que les crochets des sangles ant\u00e9rieures, plus courtes et dispos\u00e9es sous les bras, s\u2019attachent aux anneaux situ\u00e9s \u00e0 la base de la musette.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img et les parachutistes, ainsi qu\u2019aux troupes ne recevant pas le sac de combat M-1928 (Haversack).<br><br>Rest\u00e9 en service jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin du conflit, le br\u00ealage M-1936 conna\u00eet de nombreuses modifications au cours de la guerre, principalement en raison des contraintes de production et des p\u00e9nuries de mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Chaque bretelle pr\u00e9sente une largeur de 5 cm dans sa partie sup\u00e9rieure, laquelle se r\u00e9duit \u00e0 2,5 cm dans sa partie inf\u00e9rieure gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un contre-piquage de la toile. <br><br>Cette op\u00e9ration consiste \u00e0 replier puis \u00e0 coudre la bande de tissu afin de passer d\u2019une largeur initiale de 5 cm \u00e0 2,5 place d\u2019un dispositif de r\u00e9glage en longueur.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><i class=\"fas fa-pencil-alt\"> <\/i><span>Boucle auto-bloquante<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re, chaque bretelle est \u00e9quip\u00e9e d\u2019une boucle de r\u00e9glage m\u00e9tallique dot\u00e9e d\u2019un syst\u00e8me de blocage. Cette modification t\u00e9moigne des adaptations industrielles mises en \u0153uvre en p\u00e9riode de contraintes d\u2019approvisionnement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><i class=\"fas fa-pencil-alt\"> <\/i><span>Les crochets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le crochet de type M-1910 pr\u00e9sente plusieurs variations, li\u00e9es aux p\u00e9riodes de fabrication ainsi qu\u2019aux diff\u00e9rents fabricants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments m\u00e9talliques permettent la fixation des bretelles aux \u0153illets du ceinturon.
